Sister Mary Angela Parkins Named New President of St. Felix Pantry

On September 5, St. Felix Pantry in Rio Rancho, NM will welcome their new leader, SM Angela Parkins as CEO and President.

Sister Angela is currently serving in the Response to Love ministry in Buffalo, NY. She will replace the interim CEO and President, Mary Lynn Owen, who has served in the position during the leadership transition.

Previous to entering the Felician community, Sister Angela served as administrator of St. Christine Soup Kitchen in Detroit, MI. Since entering the community, she has been the administrator of Maryville Retreat Center in Holly, MI, coordinated the ministry to the poor at Our Lady Mediatrix of Graces Generalate in Rome, Italy, and has served as local minister of Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Convent in Livonia, MI.

Mary Lynn had the opportunity to spend some time at the Pantry with Sister Angela and welcomes her energy and vision in moving the Pantry forward to meet the needs of the less fortunate in the area. Mary Lynn shared that, “Sister Angela has already made a positive impression on the staff and volunteers with her keen sense of humor and inclusive, welcoming demeanor. They are looking  forward to working with and supporting her.”
