Our Lady of the Angels Convent in Enfield, CT, was the place to be on Sunday, September 16, when the morning Eucharistic liturgy was offered in the intention of Catherine Chilicki.
The entire Chilicki Family traveled from all over New England to celebrate Catherine’s 25th Anniversary as an Active Felician Associate. Several associates, sisters, and friars rejoiced in the fact that Catherine was the first associate to celebrate being an Active Associate in the Enfield area.
SM Seraphine Liskiewicz, who was the first associate director in Enfield, was all aglow as she witnessed the celebration. Members of the family were in the entrance procession and Catherine, wearing a beautiful rose corsage with a silver ribbon, along with her husband Thomas, were in the offertory procession.
Following the Mass, guests enjoyed an informal reception in the convent community room. Tables were decorated with a red rose in a white vase on a silver doily. SM Bernardine Mucha, local minister, who taught the Chilicki children many years ago, welcomed the guests, and S Joan Marie Swierzb, area associate coordinator, presented Catherine with a beautiful brown wooden plaque to commemorate her 25 years as an associate.
Sister Joan said, “The joy that radiated from Catherine was a blessing for all who attended.”
In her very kind and gentle way, Catherine thanked everyone for their presence and support after visiting the guests, sisters and friars at their tables.
